Check the amendment to the regulation regarding the maximum number of registration credits as well as registration deadlines.

Grade improvement

Students may request a resit exam in order to improve grades attained either in final exams or in written tests taken throughout the semester. Both components can be subject to grade improvement, as long as that possibility is indicated in the curricular unit’s page.
Students may only request a grade improvement exam once per each curricular unit. Students may register for a grade improvement exam up to the supplementary exam period of the school year immediately after the year of approval.
In such cases, students shall comply with the study plan and with the evaluation methods in force during that year.
The highest grade will prevail.
Once a student has obtained a diploma for a certain degree, they can no longer request grade improvements.

Registration deadline for grade improvement:
Up until 48 hours before the reassessment exam;
After this deadline, registration may still take place upon payment of a late request fee.
Registration requests shall be submitted in the Online Requests option (on the right side menu within the students’ personal area, after clicking on the ‘+’ icon besides the name of the course). Requests will only be accepted if the student has paid all tuition fees up to date (check manual here).

PAYMENT: Registration for grade improvement exams has a ¤12 fee per curricular unit.

In the scope of Order No. G.R.04/05/2013 and the statement regarding the registration for grade improvement exams, “grade improvement fees are not refundable, even if a student waives their rights to resit an exam, and regardless of the moment the student chooses to waive such rights.”

Students enrolled in single curricular units or in curricular units with credits awarded for prior learning are not entitled to resit exams.

Once a student has obtained a diploma for a certain degree, they cannot request grade improvements.
