Internationalisation is one of the University of Porto’s prime concerns, clearly borne out by the innumerable international initiatives which it has pursued, in compliance with the University’s Strategic Development Plan.
The Faculty of Arts has for many years developed active participation in a wide range of international programmes, not only within the Erasmus Programme, but also in programmes such as Erasmus Mundus, Lingua, Comenius, Culture, Tempus, Interreg, Jean Monnet, Alfa, Leonardo da Vinci, and the 7th Framework Programme, among others.
Every student can benefit from an international experience, representing not only an academic and professional asset, but also an opportunity for personal development. This experience provides students with the opportunity to accomplish either part of their studies or curricular/vocational training in a partner institution (university or company).
In addition to the EU mobility programmes, students also have the opportunity to participate in other mobility programmes under cooperation agreements established between the University of Porto and several other universities throughout the world, namely in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
