If you are in the 12th grade and want to pursue a career in the health sciences, namely in the pharmaceutical field, the Integrated Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MICF) is the ideal option. The MICF lasts 5 years, during which transversal subjects in the areas of biological, chemical and drug sciences are covered, with a strong research component, essential for pharmaceutical activity.
However, if you prefer, at the end of the 3rd year you can apply for your degree in Basic Studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences and apply for a second cycle in a related area, either at FFUP or at another Faculty/University.
Completing the 5 years of the MICF, which includes a Professionalising Internship, you will face a variety of career paths:

You've finished the 12th grade and you're undecided about the career you're going to follow. You like computers, but Biology is also in your ears! A Degree in Bioinformatics is the best option.
This degree comes with the aim of training professionals capable of analyzing information, with biological meaning, which is produced in an ever-increasing environment, as a result of the rapid technological development that we are witnessing.
With a duration of 3 years, the Degree in Bioinformatics combines biology, computer science, statistics, mathematics and engineering to analyze, interpret and process biological data.
In the end, and upon completion of a Professional Internship, you will have a variety of professional opportunities ahead of you, including: public or private research institutions, Universities, schools, laboratories, municipalities and other public organisms, pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, biotechnology, agrifood, forestry and information technologies.
