Leaflets

This space was designed to support the Libraries and Archives of the University of Porto (among others) regarding specific issues and preventive conservation measures which may arise on a daily basis. In essence, the focus will be on informing those in charge of book and/or document collections (as well as users) on how they can help promote the longevity of the materials: whether through specific actions or the implementation of good practices and educating staff and readers.

It is important to note that, while there are measures we can all take to protect our collections, there are also moments and situations where we should consult accredited professionals in the field of conservation and restoration. In these instances, certain interventions could in fact further damage the books and documents in our collections.
