Abstract (EN):
This paper will focus upon Sarah Kane’s polemic work from both an aesthetical and ethical point of view. Grounded on the most important XVIIIth century and early romantic aesthetic theories, it will discuss Kane’s “artful chamber of horrors” as one of the modes post-war XXth century artists found to cope with the world’s collapse and with the threatening degradation of human condition.
