Emilia Moreira, PsyD, MPH, PhD (http://orcid.org/0000-0001-6666-940X) is a Researcher and Doctorate Integrated Member at RISE@CINTESIS, Center for Health Technology and Services Research, Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto (FMUP). She is a Psychologist and specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology with advanced specialisation in Psychotherapy and Psychogerontology by the Portuguese Psychology Order.

Her master’s degree and PhD studies focused on stroke, namely cognitive changes after neurological ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attack, as well as on stroke awareness and public health literacy promotion.

Nowadays, she works in the field of Heart Failure, focusing on clinical and remote patient management, quality of life, patient experience, patient-reported outcomes, and therapeutic adherence/disease self-management.

She collaborated as a researcher in 16 research projects and was the Site Project Manager in 10 national and international prospective registries (e.g., acin-rpc, G-CHF, EORP III; EVOLUTION-HF) and clinical trials (e.g., EMPERIAL-reduced; EMPERIAL-preserved; ZEUS) in the field of Stroke and Heart Failure. She is also the National Coordinator, together with Prof Silva Cardoso of the estudo ViTaL - Impacto da insufifiência cardíaca na vida dos doentes e cuidadores 
She is also the Project Manager of the CardioCare Research Group at CINTESIS-FMUP. 

Emilia Moreira has published 54 articles and abstracts, 26 indexed to WoS, Scopus,DPLP, crossref (h-index 10; 340 citations).

She also works as a Psychologist, Psychotherapist and consultant in Psychology.

Emilia Moreira is a member of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology (HFA-ESC) and a Silver Member of the Association of the Cardiovascular Nurses and Allied Professionals of the European Society of Cardiology (ACNAP-ESC).

She is also a member of the American Psychological Association.
