The goal of the AIMS project is the creation of a tool, supported by AIM methodology (Accelerated Improvement Method) and consequently based on TSP/PSP and CMMI principles and Six-Sigma?s statistic data analysis, that will assist in the software developing project lifecycle management. AIM is a radical departure from the traditional methods of CMMI implementation, technology transition and organizational change, arising as an effectively innovative alternative in the scope of software development processes, able to provide high added value to organizations, by supporting them in cost reduction, quality and efficiency enhancement in the scheduling of the inherent tasks.
The present project will be developed in consortia, which is composed by highly qualified entities in the critical areas for the achievement of the initially defined goals. Strongstep (leader Promoter), a company specialized in Software Engineering oriented for the promotion of software development processes improvement, will be supported by Oporto?s University Engineering College a highly recognized entity of the National Technology Scientific System for its excellence in Scientific Research and Multicert, a company specialized in the development of digital certifications and security solutions. |
