Nuno Flores is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP), where he teaches courses in Software Engineering, Agile Methodologies, Software Architecture, and Project Management. He currently serves as the Director of the Master’s in Software Engineering program and is a member of its scientific and monitoring committees, playing a key role in shaping the education of future software engineers. Holding a PhD in Informatics Engineering from FEUP, with a thesis titled "Patterns and Tools for Improving Framework Understanding: a Collaborative Approach", he is a researcher at the Software Engineering Research Group at FEUP and a senior researcher at INESC TEC. His research focuses on collaborative software knowledge management, framework understanding, and pedagogical innovation in software engineering education. A member of the Hillside Group, Nuno has recently concentrated his research on applying gamification techniques to enhance software engineering teaching and practice. With numerous publications in international journals and conferences, he combines academic excellence with strong industry ties, driving advancements in the field through research projects and consultancy.
