1. Practical examination in the module of Dermatology
a) It is a mandatory component of the examination of the regular period, preceding the theoretical test and taking place during the 14th week of the semester. Students who present themselves for improvement of classification will have access to this examination. For that purpose they should contact the curricular unit with a minimum advance of one week, that is, until the 13th week of the semester. In exceptional and duly justified situations, this practical examination may be replaced by the discussion of descriptive clinical cases, but maintained as a component of the examination from the regular period and with the same value.
b) As it is the case of a practical examination, it implies a minimum frequency of the practical classes in the module of Dermatology. Students who do not meet the minimum attendance frequency due to duly justified absences must compensate the missing classes in a period to be determined, according to the convenience of the student and the regular functioning of the curricular unit.
c) This practical examination has a value of 3 points in the module of Dermatology (final weight of 1.5 points). It consists answering questions posed by the projection of images related to dermatological topics.
d) In special evaluation periods (that is, all those that do not correspond to the regular one), including for students seeking the improvement of their marks, this practical examination will be replaced by an essay question in the module of Dermatology of the theoretical exam.
2. Theoretical test of the Curricular Unit (both modules)
It will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions (20 of Dermatology, with a quote of 8.5 points and 20 of Plastic Surgery, with 10 points). As mentioned above the theoretical test of the module of Dermatology will include an essay question in the case of special periods of assessment. This test will include questions from the scope of the integrative seminars.
3. Access to practical and theoretical exams requires a minimum frequency of 75% of all active learning sessions for each of the two modules (Dermatology and Plastic Surgery), according to regulations in force.
4. Scores equal to or > 19.5 values in the theoretical test, at any assessment period, will imply an additional oral exam to confirm the classification. The final mark will be the arithmetic mean of the classifications attributed by the jury members and the classification obtained by the student in the theoretical test, that is, it will never be less than 10 points and could reach the 20. If the student chooses not to be submitted to this oral exam, he will have the final mark of 19 points.
