Objectives

The main objective of the course is the elaboration by the student of an applied research project. It is intended to carry out an original research project in the field of sociology on a specific theme; writing and presenting a project report.

Ability to conduct a sociological investigation applied in its multiple dimensions;

Ability to solve problems and articulate knowledge;

Ability to research, intervene and analyze information;

Ability to written and oral communication;

The compulsory bibliography will be indicated by each advisor during the elaboration work of the applied research project.

Teaching methods and learning activities

In the course unit the individual tutorial teaching is used. This teaching methodology aims, among other aspects, to support and constructively direct the student's work, always in a perspective of discussion between the student and the advisor. In this way, it is intended to create the conditions, in terms of teaching and learning, for the realization of the applied research project and that allow to prove the acquisition of knowledge and skills corresponding to the master's degree, according to the legally stipulated.
