Objectives

The general objective of the seminar is to systematically and intensely accompany students in the preparation phase of their dissertation / project / curricular stage.

Specifically:

1) To develop theoretical and methodological knowledge in the field of sociology on the topics to be considered in the scope of the specialization seminar;

2) Deepen the capacity for analysis and sociological problematization;

3) To deepen knowledge and practices in the field of sociological methodology in the field of specialization;

4) To conceive a dissertation project / project / curricular stage within the course of specialization training.


Learning outcomes and competences

1) Promote the critical use of the theoretical and methodological knowledge of sociology for the analysis of the problems of the specialization seminar;

2) Develop the skill to search bibliographic, database analysis and secondary sources;

3) Ability to articulate knowledge;

4) Preparation, writing and discussion of the dissertation project / project / curricular stage;

5) Boost autonomous and team work skills, self-learning, innovation and creativity.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The teaching methodologies of this course are based on a diversity of pedagogical, theoretical and methodological supports capable of providing an approach to the contents and procedures available in the area of the specialization seminar.
The seminar is based on orientation sessions (O) developed by the advisor and mentoring throughout the school year.
