Objectives
The main goal is to provide students with a minimum knowledge about Brazilian and African literatures in Portuguese, based on important texts from the respective systems in which the topic of the travel is deciding. Therefore, students should be able to read literary texts by integrating them in the respective context and applying basic notions of poetics, narratology and literary history. On the other hand, students should be able to problematize the notion of travel and to produce a critical discourse about the points of the syllabus.
Learning outcomes and competences
At the end of the course, the student should be able to formulate, supported in the literature, a personal discourse about the topics covered.
