Apresentação Pessoal

Carlos Lindade is a Portuguese-Canadian professional with extensive experience in the field of ELT, heavily involved in the training of pre and in-service EFL teachers and in the development of coursebooks for Portuguese students of English (U Dare 9, 2015; Stars 4, 2016). He is interested in research regarding ELT Material Development, AI & Teacher Education and TELL (Technology-Enhanced Language Learning).

He currently lectures undergraduate general English courses as well as the faculty's master's programmes in secondary English language teaching. He also oversees both teaching practice and MA dissertations and acts as "Regente" for Prodution of Teaching Materials in English and English I.

He holds a PhD in Advanced English Studies from the University of Vigo where he obtained the highest grade: Sobresaliente Cum Laude. During the current academic year Carlos is working towards publishing his doctoral thesis:
A comprehensive analysis on how English Language Teaching coursebooks promote teaching pronunciation in Portuguese public schools.

He is an active member of the Portuguese Association of Teachers of English (APPI) and of also a member of the Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies (CETAPS).
