Associated Professor of the Faculty of Arts - University of Porto, Researcher of the R&D unit CITCEM (Transdisciplinary Research Center "Culture, Space, Memory") , collaborating researcher of the R&D unit CEHR (Centro de Estudos de História Religiosa - Portuguese Catholic University), vice president of Comission International de Diplomatique, member of the Academia Portuguesa da História and of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Estudos Medievais (SPEM). She was Scientific Coordinator of CITCEM between November 2011 and May 2017, and responsible for the Strategic Project (financed by the COMPETE Programme) from 2013 to May 2017.
PhD in Medieval History in 1999, with the Dissertation "A Chancelaria Arquiepiscopal de Braga 1071-1245" (The archiepiscopal chancery of Braga 1071-1245), at the Faculty of Arts of University of Porto.
Teaching activity is centered on Paleography and Diplomatics and History of Medieval Portugal.
Responsible for dissertations and theses (Mestrado e Doutoramento) on subjects like Medieval Paleography e Diplomatics and Medieval Portuguese History. Co-PR of the project RAM-NP: Reconstructing monastical archives in Northern Portugal (12c-19c.), funded by FCT - Refª EXPL/HAR-HIS/0535/202. Researcher in several R&D projects.
