- Consolidate the previous knowledge in research methodologies and start training in methodologies of sociological intervention;
-strengthening the scientific preparation of theoretical and methodological assumptions underlying the research and sociological intervention;
-transposition of methodological knowledge already acquired and its deepening in applied research with objectives;
-operationalize the research and intervention strategies.

The exhibition and active methods are combined at UC. The theoretical lessons involve teaching expository speech interspersed with interrogative practices, which call for participation or demonstration practices, privileging the examples with national cases. Practical classes are based on previous work programs made available on the UC website. Are the monitoring of students in carrying out activities (e.g. resulting from fieldwork) in small groups and the presentation and oral discussion in the large group. In addition, field trips or conferences with experts who work are supported by sociological intervention methodologies.

Continuous assessment including the following components: i) Research report. Weighing: 40%. Group work (individual work may be agreed in advance with the lecturer only in exceptional cases and for reasons of force majeure); ii) Essay about case study in action research. Weighing: 50%; - Class attendance and participation are essential components in this type of work:10%. Work programs are diversified. Several essays will be developed and discussed in classes on previously defined dates specified by the lecturer. Only some of these essays will be in writing.
For approval for the course, never achieved in any assessment of the evaluation components may be less than 9,5 values.
The appeal period is composed of a the same number of tests carried out during the semester and their weightings according to the student's status.
All students with one of the evaluation components already in the normal period, with a grade equal to or higher than 9.5 points, are also entitled to the time of appeal.
