Objectives

This curricular unit aims to give the students opportunity to:

- use the acquired knowledge and developed competences/skills to real situations and deepening the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge;

- know and contact with developed projects, or in progress, in the field of information science;

- develop skills in project management solving real problems.;
- develop initiation to research skills in Information Science.

Learning outcomes and competences

At the end of the curricular unit the students must be able to solve real problems of information management in diverse organizational contexts and to know how to manage particular projects in the IS area or to be able to develop a work with a research component.

1- Project management techniques and tools to support their development; or support to the development of a initial research work in Informationa Science.

2- Development of a project in the area of Information Science:
based on the contacts established with external public or private organizations, issues will be identified in order to to the developement of different projects; or developemnt of a research work under the supervision of a professor of the study cycle.

3- Project report; or research work writing, describing the work accomplished.

The assessment takes into account the performace during the developemnt of the project or the research work (RP/TI), the written documento (WD) and also of the presentation and defense in face of a jury (PD).

The final classification (FC) is calculated as follows:

FF = TP/TIx0,20 + WDx0,50 + PDx0,30
