Aims: This course aims, first of all, to provide students a series of introductory references on authors, genres and concepts of the history of theatre in Portugal during the 18th and 19th centuries. Secondly, the information will also lead the student to overcome the introductory references and find in them the tools for a full review of the theatre and the history of theatre, dramaturgy, drama theory, a survey of the facts and their interpretation.
