Pedro Eiras is Full Professor of Portuguese Literature at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto and a Researcher at the Margarida Losa Institute for Comparative Literature, where he coordinates the Intermedialities research team. Since 2005, he has published numerous books of essays on twentieth- and twenty-first-century Portuguese literature, interartistic studies, and ethical issues. Among the most recent are Constelações. Ensaios comparatistas (four volumes: 2013, 2016, 2021, 2025), O Conhecimento das Trevas (2024), A Linguagem dos Artesãos (2022), Língua Bífida (2021). With Esquecer Fausto (2005) he won the Portuguese PEN Club Essay Prize. He is currently conducting research on the representation and imaginary of the end of the world.
