Apresentação Pessoal

Pedro C. Neto holds a B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in software/informatics engineering from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), and the M.Sc. degree (Hons.) in computer science from Aalto University, Finland. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). He is also an AI Scientist at Unilabs. His Ph.D. work on “Explainable Artificial Intelligence for Fair and Transparent Biometrics,” is directed towards the problems exhibited by current biometric systems, such as, race and gender biased in face recognition. He also conducted research for the CADPath.AI project, which aims to build a deep learning method for automated diagnosis of colorectal cancer from whole slide images. Since 2022, Pedro is also an invited assistant at University of Porto.
