Following my Ph.D., I was a research and teaching assistant at the Université de Paris Nanterre in France, where I taught various subjects in statistics and optimization and conducted research on control systems and optimization.
In 2018, I have worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Universidade do Porto, focusing on computational methods for optimal control problems in autonomous underwater vehicles. Currently, as a researcher at the same institution, I specialize in control theory, optimal control, nonsmooth analysis, computational methods, and designing control techniques for crowd motion management.
Throughout my academic journey, I have published extensively, including a doctoral thesis, articles in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. I have also presented my research at international conferences and have been invited to speak at various events.
In addition to my research and teaching experience, I have engaged in visiting positions and mentoring. Between 2015 and 2016, I have worked as a visiting Ph.D. student at the Università di Padova in Italy. I was also an invited researher at Université de Bretagne Occidentale in 2019 and in 2024, and at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana between 2022 and 2023. I have also delivered seminars and taught courses at different institutions, including at a PhD program at the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, India.
