Summary:	Project INDTECH 4.0 ? New Technologies for smart manufacturing, aims at fostering the development of innovative technologies related to Industry 4.0/Factories of the Future, through the mobilization of several industrial partners and research organizations, as well as the leadership of an automative OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Peugeot Citroen, S. A. (PSA) as a ?test bed? for the trial, demonstration and technological validation.
Results:	Projeto de especial interesse estratégico para a economia portuguesa pelo seu impacto esperado no volume de exportações, no valor acrescentado nacional, no valor do investimento directo estrangeiro, no índice de tecnologia incorporada, na criação de postos de trabalho, no aumento da produtividade e de automatização a nível operacional tanto na fase de teste/demonstração como na fase de replicação para o conjunto da unidade fabril posterior ao projeto. O projeto constituir-se-á como um forte acelerador da atividade de I&D das sociedades do consórcio sendo para a maioria destas o projeto de I&D de maior impacto tecnológico e dimensão económica a realizar entre 2018 e 2021. Com efeito, estima-se que até 2021, a despesa de I&D das empresas envolvidas no projeto evolua de um valor base de 2,8 milhões de Euros para um valor aproximado de 4,8 milhões de Euros.
