Eliseu Pereira has a PhD in Informatics Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and is a researcher at the Digital and Intelligent Industry (DIGI2) Lab. His work focuses on Cyber‑Physical Production Systems, resource allocation optimization, digital twins, and the application of artificial intelligence in Industry 4.0 environments. His doctoral research led to the development of frameworks and tools for automated reconfiguration and optimized software execution in distributed industrial systems, achieving significant improvements in efficiency, flexibility, and system performance.
Throughout his career, he has participated in several European and national research projects, including RECLAIM, OpenZDM, INDTECH4.0, and GreenAuto, working closely with both academic and industrial partners. He is the author and co‑author of publications in leading international journals and conferences, with contributions in predictive maintenance, zero‑defect manufacturing, and industrial optimization. He also has experience supervising MSc theses, coordinating educational initiatives, and developing practical software tools for real‑world industrial applications.
