“I decided to apply for the double degree programme between FEP and SGH, as I was looking for an option that would allow me to continue exploring my interest in management while also benefiting from an international experience in a context entirely different from the Portuguese reality. In this regard, this programme, combined with the opportunity to obtain two degrees from recognized institutions, proved to be the ideal solution. The double degree programme allowed me to engage with distinct yet equally enriching teaching methodologies. I would also like to highlight the importance of moments of intercultural exchange, particularly in group work. These experiences were essential for the development of skills such as adaptability, critical thinking, and communication, fostered by exposure to completely different perspectives, as I was part of teams with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds. Moreover, both FEP and SGH were always available throughout the process to assist with any aspect, which greatly reassured me during the integration period. Outside the academic context, the mobility experience was equally positive. Although integrating into a new culture and adapting to a different climate were initially challenging, I would advise future participants of the programme to engage as fully as possible in this process and to keep an open mind, as they will quickly realize that moments of intercultural exchange beyond the university setting are even more significant for personal development. I firmly believe that this programme has had, and will continue to have, a profound impact on the way I perceive the world, particularly as we increasingly find ourselves in a more interconnected and competitive reality.”

“Choosing the Double Degree Programme was, for me, a straightforward decision, though not an easy one. Two diplomas, two renowned universities, and an experience that goes far beyond Erasmus. For me, it was one of the most comprehensive and challenging options available. In my case, living and studying in France forced me to adapt quickly. I arrived and suddenly had to deal with new classmates, a different culture, different working methods, and even small details such as learning basic French to get by in everyday life. I experienced an initial shock that reminded me of Erasmus, but the bar here was set much higher. I had more responsibility, more pressure, and far more serious performance expectations. And it was precisely that which made me grow. Managing an internship, a dissertation, and a university project all at the same time was far from easy! In the end, the outcome was obvious: I gained real international experience, direct exposure to two different universities, skills that truly stand out when I begin looking for job opportunities and, of course, two Master’s degrees. It wasn’t the easiest path, but it was clearly one of the most transformative and rewarding choices I could have made. For me, it was an opportunity to grow and to be challenged.”
