U.PORTO Information System (SIGARRA)

At the U.PORTO, the SIGARRA information system is a powerful tool that supports administration and management.

In fact, the SIGARRA system provides several components for both these areas, as follows:

• The Academic Management (GA) application, used by the Academic Services in all Faculties and by Academic Training and Organization, at the Rectorate.
• The Human Resource Management application, used by the Human Resource Services of all faculties, and by its counterpart services at the Rectorate.

 
Further to these uses, the SIGARRA system contains several modules, some of which are:

• Assignment of work schedule
• Timetables
• Registration in syllabi and classes
• Timetabling exams and invigilation
• Surveys
• Statistics
• Reports
• Performance assessment (SIADAP)
• Attendance
• Planning of human resource training
• Dynamic e-mail

• Reservation of resources
• Register and follow-up of Trouble-Tickets
• Request expenditure authorizations
• Request travels

Financial Management (ERP Primavera)

The new Statutes of the University of Porto, DR 2^nd Series No. 93, dated 14 May 2009, establish that only the entity University of Porto has legal personality.

Following this amendment, the implementation of an integrated accounting and management information system is in progress in the U.PORTO, based on the ERP Primavera system (Enterprise Resource Planning).
