Visiting U.PORTO?

The U.PORTO offers its visitors ICT resources and services depending on the activities conducted at the University.

The quickest way to have a general view of the University and of its faculties and other related institutions is to browse the U.PORTO web pages.

Here you can access the pages of all Institutions of the University.

The web pages of the University and of its Faculties are supported by the SIGARRA information system, developed at the U.PORTO, allowing visitors and the general public to come into contact with all the activities of the University, including information on courses, research, development and innovation activities, academic life, projects in progress, premises, regulations, etc. Most of this information is open-source so you don’t need credentials to access the system.

Depending on the duration of your visit, and its purposes, you can be given credentials to access the SIGARRA system.

Generally speaking, visitors can access the Internet using the wireless connections available in the campus. For visitors from institutions that already use the eduroam service, this connection is automatic. In other cases, the secretariats or the Computing Services of each institution will help you connect to the network.

Visitors using the U.PORTO accommodation facilities (residence halls) who do not have student or University collaborator credentials must contact the Social Action Services for information on how to use the wireless connection in these areas.
