Teaching methods and learning activities

The work of this Optional Curricular Unit will not only allow the development of knowledge in the field of Poetry under a holistic view, but will also explore a great interaction between the teacher and the students. There may also be a component of writing and reading the students' own poems, and it is not the objective of the course that students learn to write a poem but to read and interpret poems.

Eligibility for exams

Under normal conditions, the absence of more than 25% of the classes implies a lack of achievement.

NOTE: For a total of 14 weeks/classes students will have to attend 10 classes to obtain frequency.

Calculation formula of final grade

0.20*attendance+0.20*fieldwork+0.60*written work.

As mentioned above in relation to frequency students will have to attend between 10 and 14 classes, and in this interval students will be classified between 16 and 20 points.

Within the scope of this UC, field work will be work to be done outside of classes and delivered in the class immediately following the one in which they were requested and which will be at most XXXXX and in total will be worth 20% of the final classification.

Written work will be a final essay to be presented on a date to be determined and will be worth 60% of the final classification.

Students will be approved with frequency (at least 10 classes attendance from the 14 total) and at least 9.50/20 points in the written work/final essay.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Regarding the TE, and given that they may be exempt from attending classes, they are not exempt from the work to be presented throughout the semester or from the final essay, however, the evaluation formula is changed to 0.40*fieldwork+0 ,60*written work.

In this case, the number of works to be presented during the semester can be increased.

Classification improvement

The possibility of improving the classification will take place through an Oral Test.
