Apresentação Pessoal

Paula Guilhermina Fernandes became the Erasmus Coordinator and Local Mobility Programmes Coordinator in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) in 2022. She holds a PhD in Contemporary Economic and Social History from ISCTE-IUL (University of Lisbon, Portugal). Paula has a two-stage work life, having been primarily a researcher and teacher for around 20 years in the Social Sciences area, with published work (mainly in economic and social history) and experience in teaching research methods, gerontology, and training (both trainers and end-of-degree students). She belonged to several higher education institutions, namely the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP) and the Higher Education Institute of Social Service of Porto (ISSSP). Recently, Paula has collaborated with FMUP in the internationalisation area, primarily concentrating on academic mobilities and executive cooperation management, with skills spanning strategic networking and planning educational projects, courses, and academic events.
Paula focuses on fostering meaningful relationships connecting the FMUP with the world.
