Objectives

To develop the instrumental role of humanities as a resource in healthcare professional education, towards: (1) transversal competencies, (2) humanistic competences; (3) self-awareness competencies; (4) recognition of different situations in the context of healthcare.

Learning outcomes and competences

At the end, students should be able to:
- Promote the skill to incorporate the work into other areas of knowledge;
- Value the meaning of History of Medicine;

Eligibility for exams

The presentation of the themes of the theoretical classes aims to stimulate different perspectives in the integral formation of the students.
The seminars seek to encourage the discussion of themes on their daily involvement
The evaluation of this UC comprises: Interim evaluation (AI - written test), Humanities project (PH - project prepared by studant groups on the subject that integrates theoretical and seminars knowledge) and Assiduity (A)
