Objectives
The Curricular Unit aims to present an introduction to the fundamental set of topics and knowledge needed to define and identify the major public health problems, at the national and the international level, the most common methods used in public health research and the policy choices involved in the organization of health services.
Learning outcomes and competences
The student will be able to critically evaluate the extent and the relevance of social and health problems that constitute the reference framework of the activities in public health, its global dimension, and namely using a critical appraisal of the relative importance of public health issues.
