Congenital malformations; Acute abdominal pain and lower gastrointestinal bleeding in child; Arterial occlusive disease; Aneurismatic disease; Chronic venous disease; Venous thrombosis.

B- 20 practical lessons to each of the12 groups. Addressing the semiology of (at least once each): Neck/Thyroid; Breast; Abdominal wall hernias; Esophagus and stomach; Colon; Rectum and anus; Hepatobiliary system; Pancreas; Venous and Arterial (3 lessons in Vascular Surgery); Child (1 lesson in Pediatric Surgery).

Assessment Components

Designation Weight (%)
Exame 20,00
Participação presencial 21,00
Teste 50,00
Trabalho escrito 9,00
Total: 100,00

Amount of time allocated to each course unit

Designation Time (hours)
Estudo autónomo 243,00
Frequência das aulas 93,00
Realização de Estágio 69,00
Total: 405,00

Eligibility for exams

If cumulatively

1- Attendance: at least 75% of the activities mentioned in pedagogic modalities (except lectures), which appear in the student's logbook; and,

2- Distribution assessment: at least 10/20 points (parameters: formative evaluation-70%; group work-15%, and case-base presentation-15%).

Calculation formula of final grade

C (classification) = 0.3xDA + 0.2xPE + 0.5xT, where: DA: distribution assessment (score: 0-20) PE: practical exam (score: 0-20) T: theoretical exam consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions (score: 0-20; each, 0.4)

Approval if T with ≥22 correct answers plus C and PE ≥ 10 points.

Final classification= C for scores between 0 and 18; final classification > 18 requires oral exam only available for C≥ 19 points.

Observations
