Resumo (PT): Com este estudo sobre as termas e Spa de Longroiva, localizadas no Nordeste de Portugal, outrora vocacionadas para a atividade medicinal e hoje direcionadas para o lazer e o bem-estar, pretendemos evidenciar as relações cidade-campo. Adotamos uma metodologia que conjuga uma pesquisa e análise de documentação bibliográfica, estatística e cartográfica com a aplicação de entrevistas semiestruturadas a diversos agentes interventivos no desenvolvimento local, aquistas e frequentadores do spa. A renovação e requalificação destas instalações termais, às quais se anexa um Eco-Hotel, alicerçam a revitalização de um espaço rural antes em declínio.

Abstract (EN): With this study of the thermal waters and spa in Longroiva, in the Northeast of Portugal, which were formerly dedicated to medicinal activities and are now directed towards leisure and well-being, we intend to highlight the city-countryside relationships. We adopted a methodology that combines research and analysis of bibliographic, statistical and cartographic documentation with the application of semi-structured interviews to people involved in local development and clients of the spa and thermal baths. The renovation and requalification of these thermal facilities, to which an Eco-Hotel is attached, underpin the revitalization of a rural space that was in decline
