Abstract (EN):
Composition profiles of displacement films obtained on aluminum in modified zincate solutions showed that an initial zinc deposit was followed by the deposition of copper by an exchange reaction with zinc atoms. Although the solutions contained a large concentration of nickel ions, the displacement film contained less than 3 atomic percent nickel. During nickel electroplating, zinc-rich regions of the film were partly dissolved.
