FMUP promotes CODEM-LP Network Workshop

Opening session is part of FMUP Week

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) is promoting the "Global Health Approaches to Scientific Writing" Workshop, an initiative aimed at students, teachers, researchers, and health professionals from Mozambique but open to participants from Portugal.

This training session will take place in October, in digital format, under the aegis of the Cooperation Network of Portuguese Language Medical Schools (CODEM-LP), in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of the Eduardo Mondlane University (FM-UEM) and the editors of the British Medical Journal - Case Reports.

The opening session, which is part of FMUP Week, will take place on October 5, with the presence of FMUP's director, Altamiro da Costa Pereira, and a representative from FM-UEM.

On the same day, there will be a session entitled "Writing a Global Health Case Report," the first of three sessions that make up the workshop.

The second session, "A Look at Your Global Health Case Reports," will be held between October 10 and 12. The third and final event is scheduled for October 17 and will focus on "Using Your GHCR for Advocacy."

The three sessions will be led by Rui Amaral Mendes, professor at FMUP, a researcher at CINTESIS@RISE and Deputy Editor of the British Medical Journal - Case Reports, and Seema Biswas, Editor-In-Chief of BMJ Case Reports.

The workshop is for students, teachers, researchers, and health professionals interested in the fields covered.

Last February, FMUP had already hosted the Workshop "Scientific Writing and Global Health," also organized by Rui Amaral Mendes and Seema Biswas.
