Personal Presentation

Doctor in Language Sciences, specialising in Language Technologies, from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (2021), with a specialisation in Terminology and Translation (2004) and a degree in English Language from the University of Havana (2000). She has additional training in teaching methodologies for adults, distance learning (b-learning), and several postgraduate courses in Linguistics (Lexicology, Stylistics, Semantics and Cultural Gestures), as well as in event organisation and management and implementation of quality management systems.

She currently serves as Executive Manager at the RISE-Health Unit, part of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, and is a member of the management team of the RISE Associate Laboratory, contributing to the strategic management of science and technology, project coordination, and support for clinical and translational research. She has consolidated experience in the management of R&D units (UMIB, CINTESIS and RISE-Health), in the implementation of knowledge management processes and in the promotion of scientific innovation.

At the same time, she works in the translation, revision and correction of scientific texts in the field of Life and Health Sciences, with a special focus on the translation of health assessment tools (scales, inventories, questionnaires) and training support materials for health professionals and the general public.
