Doctor in Language Sciences, specifically in Human Language Technologies from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (2021).

Specialist in Terminology and Translation from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (2004).

Degree in English from the University of La Habana (2000).

She has specific training in methodology for teaching adults and in distance and b-learning, as well as several post-graduate courses in Linguistics (Lexicology, Stylistics, Semantic Descriptions, and Cultural Gestures) and courses on organization and management of events and implementation of a quality management system.

She has worked as a research manager for R&D units such as UMIB, CINTESIS and, currently RISE-Health, as well as, the Knowledge Management Unit of FMUP. She is also a translator, proofreader, and editor of scientific texts in the Life and Health Sciences area (e.g., scientific articles, theses, and manuals), and specifically in the translation of health assessment instruments (e.g., scales, inventories, questionnaires) and health support and training programs for the general public and health professionals.
