Basic course in Oncobiology Research

The Basic Course of Research in Oncology presents itself with a strong practical component that allows students to acquire skills in the fields of basic research and translation in Oncobiology. The Training Unit continues to offer participants an update of knowledge in molecular pathology, as well as the development of new laboratory skills.

Objectives

- Scientific preparation for understanding the concepts and methods in the fields of basic research and translation in Oncobiology.
- Acquisition of knowledge about the theoretical and methodological assumptions used in Oncobiology with analysis of the limitations associated with the various methodologies.
- Discussion of research strategies in Oncobiology.

Professional Abilities

 At the end of the Course, students should have the required descriptive and analysis competences for (i) understanding practices in Oncobiology basic and translational research, and (ii) developing their own research projects.

After the selection for registration in this Continuing Training Unit it is possible, under the Program Adult Impulses of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), application for scholarship.
Only recipients over 23 years of age, with or without professional activity, residing in national territory at the time of the actions of which they are beneficiaries are eligible for scholarship (all those who have permanent residence in Portugal or all those who have a valid residence permit and tax identification number, with tax representative domiciled in Portugal) are considered residents.
