The PhD Program in Public Health at FMUP provides students with research skills in specific fields of Public Health in terms of etiological factors, analysis and management of national and international health problems, and planning and assessment of health interventions in different contexts.
Intended for students and professionals in Medicine and other fields of Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematics, and others, the program lasts six semesters and totals 180 ECTS.
Students can rely on highly qualified teaching staff and have access to top research resources, in particular at the Epidemiology Research Unit - Institute of Public Health of University of Porto (EPIUnit) and at the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR), also benefiting from privileged relationships with European research and training networks.
