The main objective of this study cycle is to develop advanced and specialized skills in the area of Pediatric Nutrition. It is intended to provide students with transversal knowledge in different areas of professional activity, facilitating the capacity and professional performance for intervention in general and specific areas of Pediatric Nutrition, in a preventive and therapeutic perspective, both at clinical and research level . This cycle of studies aims to integrate the theoretical and practical components essential to the development of the skills that allow the application of the scientific method in the identification of problems, elaboration of hypotheses, their eventual validation and discussion. It is also the purpose of this study cycle to encourage critical thinking in analyzing the results of scientific research with a view to a clinical approach and nutritional intervention with the best available evidence.
It is intended that at the end of the study cycle students have the knowledge and skills to intervene in general and specific areas of the clinic in Pediatric Nutrition, endowed with critical and scientific spirit. Provide clinical practice with a research component that allows and facilitates updating, evolution and innovation in this area of knowledge.
