Forensic Sciences

second cycle of studies leading to a master

degree in Forensic Sciences aims to create

a space for specific training of professionals in

order to address issues related to evidence including

obtaining scientific evidence, in a multidisciplinary

context. The aim is thus to promote

scientific research in this area, preventing

theorizing practices to arise in abstract

form or only supported by the experience of

foreign counterparts.

The student must, after completing this cycle

of studies, be able to develop scientific investigation

in the field of Forensic Sciences with

a certain autonomy, namely in his/her area of

specialization.

Forensic Laboratory Sciences


Professional Abilities

In terms of occupational perspectives, it is assured:

a) The enhancement of knowledge and skills of forensic

professionals, which can allow them to better progress

in their careers.

b) The acquisition of knowledge and skills to graduates

who intend to apply for jobs related to the field of forensic

sciences, whether at a national level (such as

the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic

Sciences, IP, in the Organs of Criminal Police, the Judicial

System in Higher Education, or even in private

work), or abroad.
