Master Degree Course in Palliative Care

This programme is organized in four semesters:
- The first and second semester are composed by the theoretical part of the course, comprising a Specialization Course and mandatory course units which aim to create and develop skills and competences in the area of palliate care; The students who successfully complete the theoretical part of the course and have an accepted thesis proposal, will be admitted to the remaining part of the programme;
- The third and fourth semester are mainly dedicated to the development of the investigation project.

Aims: Acquire a broad, solid and adequate training and skills in the area of palliative care, so that research can be carried out.

Eligibility : Holders of a Degree or Integrated Master Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Dental Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, Health Technologies or other related areas.

Numerus clausus: Min:15 Max:40

Access: Applicants must have successfully completed their degree with a minimum average mark of 14 out of 20 in the areas of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Psychology, Nursing, Nutritional Sciences and Health Technologies, to be admitted to this programme.
In special cases, the Coordinating Committee may propose to the Scientific Committee of the course the acceptance of applicants with a final average grade lower than 14 out 20, if they hold an adequate scientific training.
Exceptionally, the Coordinating Committee may propose to the Scientific Committee the acceptance of applicants who hold other Degrees, but who show an adequate scientific training.

Selection Criteria: The applicants will be selected by the Scientific Committee of the course based on the following criteria:
a) Academic curriculum;
b) Scientific and professional curriculum;
c) Curriculum in the area of palliate care;
Interviews may take place in order to assess applicants’ knowledge in the most relevant areas.

Fee:
Full time: 1500¤/year
Part-time: 1125,00¤/year (75% of full-time fee)
