Knowledge: The essential aim of the Curricular Unit of Interpersonal Relationships in Palliative Care is that the student acquires the necessary knowledge in the area of care of chronic and terminal patients namely in Palliative Care. Especially in what concerns the human dimension and humanisation of care. In the conceptual plan the aims are the acquisition and knowledge of the core concepts in these areas and in the different types of intervention in Palliative Care.
Skills: With this curricular unit the student must gather the necessary skills for understanding the complexity and implications of the complex interpersonal relationships in Palliative Care. The student must be adequately informed about the basic tools, from a personal and institutional level, for the implementation of an adequate care to chronic and terminal patients.1- Modern concept of management of people and its fundamental characteristics.

3- Processes of managing people
4- Theories on human nature. Theories of human motivation and tools and of recent trends in motivation enhancement.
5- The concept of organizational culture and macro-culture. Classification of different types of generic cultures in accordance with different theoretical perspectives. The origin of organizational culture and its components. Healthcare organizations’ cultural network and its core values.
6- Methods of organizational socialization. The concept of group. Working techniques in palliative care.
7- The process of communication in healthcare organizations and its fundamental elements. Ttechniques that allow the development of communication skills. Behavioural effects of interaction attitudes in palliative care.Teaching methodologies have different strategies: a) Theoretical Lectures: about different themes related to the Curricular Unit; b) Seminars: Prepared and guided discussion of specific themes, defined in advance, with the participation of professors and students; c) Group Work: Pedagogical activity of analysis and problem solving, orientated by the professors and actively prepared by the students; and d) Presentation of Case-Problems by the students.
