The challenges posed by ChatGPT in Education and Research will be the central theme of this event that will bring together researchers and experts in health and technology in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine of the U.Porto (FMUP) on May 19th.
Entitled "ChatGPT: Challenges for Education and Research," this seminar, open to the public, will be attended by Tiago Taveira, Ricardo Correia, and Mariana Pais, professors at the Faculty of Medicine, to discuss the "Scientific and Pedagogical Issues of ChatGPT." The seminar will be moderated by João Fonseca, director of the Department of Community Medicine, Information and Decision Making in Health.
The event will also include a "Critical Reflection on the Applications of ChatGPT," moderated by Ivone Duarte, professor at FMUP, with interventions from Adelino Leite Moreira, president of the Scientific Council of FMUP, Pedro Pereira Rodrigues, member of the Pedagogical Council, Ana Filipa Aparício, president of the Students' Association (AEFMUP), and Rui Nunes, president of the Faculty Ethics Committee.
The "ChatGPT: challenges for Education and Research" starts at 9:15 am, with the Opening Session in charge of Altamiro da Costa Pereira, director of FMUP. The conclusions and closing session will be the responsibility of Rita Negrão, professor at the Faculty of Medicine.
