Fetal Medicine

Prenatal diagnosis and fetal medicine are rapidly developing areas requiring extensive knowledge.

Fetal medicine requires knowledge of embryology, physiology, pathology, and the most appropriate diagnostic methods. It is necessary to identify the anomalies, make the etiological diagnosis and to define the prognosis.

Objectives

  1. Knowledge of embryology and fetal physiology.
  2. Knowledge of the fetal pathologies (pathology, incidence, genetics, risk factors and associated anomalies) to improve the capacity of its diagnosis.
  3. Clinical and non-clinical skills that allow prenatal diagnosis and intervention.

Information

Eligibility: Degree or integrated master’s in medicine of Portuguese Universities. Other graduates may be accepted in possession of adequate curricula for the frequency of the course; this will be evaluated by the Scientific Commission.

Selection criteria: Candidates will be selected considering professional experience (50%) and scientific curriculum (50%). In case of a tiebreaker: professional experience.

Language: Portuguese

Number of participants: 20 (max)/ 5(min).

Schedule: Friday and Saturday
