FTEC_14_01 - ECTS
This unit aims at acquiring three broad-spectrum abilities, necessary for scientific activity in any research area within Biological/Health Sciences. At the end of the course it is expected that the student: 1) knows and applies the fundamental ethical guidelines for the conduct of human and laboratory animal research, for the use of medicines and for the environmental protection; 2) understands and applies the concepts and fundamentals of experimental design and data analysis, and is able to use the proper software tools; 3) knows and applies the rules of scientific writing
FTEC_14_02 - ECTS
To learn the fundamentals of the different methods used in Cell and Molecular Biology applied to drug discovery.
The course in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology will employ a multidisciplinary approach / team to train students in the rigors of experimental pharmacological sciences and to prepare them for independent research careers. The course is designed to convey the fundamentals of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and genetics to solve a variety of experimental problems and in the design of research strategies in the context of drug discovery. The education is reinforced at the bench in cutting-edge research laboratories of the consortium grouped into four main topics: methods of nucleic acid analysis, methods of protein analysis, transformation of cellular organisms, and cellular screening and cell cultures.
FTEC_14_05 - ECTS
To learn the fundamentals of the different imaging techniques in Biology, biological signal processing and the digital analysis of images obtained for studying the relationship between molecular interactions, function and structure of cells and tissues.
