Objectives

To allow the student to apply previously acquired knowledge of methodology of investigation and data processing to a certain scientific domain that should be deepened, resulting in the elaboration of the project leading to the elaboration of the dissertation of master.

Learning outcomes and competences

The UC Research Seminar aims to provide students with the following competencies:

• To clearly identify the research question and discuss the gap that it intends to fill / contribute within the scientific literature of the area;

• To provide a competent and complete literature review was carried out in the area of relevant research;

• The methodology to be selected (research strategy to be followed, including techniques for data collection and analysis to be used) must be identified and justified in the light of the literature and in line with the research question.

In addition to the three components mentioned, the dissertation / project work project should also contain a schedule of the work to be done.
