Eligibility for exams

Assessment components:
- 1 individual and written report
- 1 individual practical exercise
All the assessment components are required.
The individual written report consists of a critical reflection, with a theoretical-empirical component, on a topic to be discussed between the teacher and the student. The individual practical exercise is an activity linked to the creation of the thematic report, with an oral presentation. The report and practical exercise are prepared throughout the semester and delivered on dates to be indicated by the teacher at the beginning of classes.
Failure to pass the curricular unit (with failure due to lack of an assessment component) implies that the student must complete new assessment components during the appeal period. The teacher makes the respective statements available on the course page on the first day of assessment of the appeal period. The new report and practical exercise proposal respects the type of work foreseen in the curricular unit and the defined evaluation criteria.

Calculation formula of final grade

- individual report - 60%
- individual pratical exercise - 40%
In order to be approved in this course, the final classification must be equal to or higher than 10 values. The classification of each component must be no less than 9,5 values.

Examinations or Special Assignments

Does not apply.

Internship work/project

Does not apply.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Students who, in accordance with the evaluation standards of FLUP, are not covered by the attendance component are required to contact the teacher at the beginning of the classes.
In order to carry out the thematic report throughout the semester and deliver it on the date indicated for the normal period, these students must complete the planned practical exercise. They may do so by presenting the written version, without oral presentation, or with oral presentation on the date proposed by the teacher for the entire class.
Such students must indicate their intention regarding the assessment at the beginning of classes. The weights assigned to the evaluation components are as expected: 60% for the thematic report and 40% for the practical exercise.

Classification improvement

The improvement of final classification is carried out in accordance with the rules of FLUP. It is possible to improve the final classification of individual thematical report.

Observations

The students should consult the assessment document and all materials available online.
The teacher will display at the beginning of the classes the opening hours for students
