Eligibility for exams
According to Article 9 of the FLUP's Assessment Norms, a student meets the attendance if it does not exceed the maximum number of class missings equal to 25% of the total of provided classes.
The planned assessment evaluation components are:
- Essays (written and oral component)
- Research report
- Final exam
It is mandatory to carry out all elements of evaluation, regardless of student status. The students have also to conclude all the components of assessment with a minimum score of 8 out of 20.
Calculation formula of final grade
The final grade is calculated from the weighted average of the marks obtained in each of the evaluation components:
- Final exam: 50%
- Rsearch report: 40%
- Participation in class: 10%
For the evaluation during the special period of evaluations, all the components of evaluation will be considered: final exam and research report. There is no possibility of being evaluated again for participation in class (class attendance and work developed at the tutorial sessions) as only the grades obtained during the semestre will be considered.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
Students with special status, namely those covered by the status of Association Manager, Student Athlete, Student Firefighter, Military Student, National Team Athlete, High-Performance Sports Practitioner or Student Worker" (Art. 14, point 1) are obliged to complete all the assessment components under the terms defined for students in general. They must contact the teacher of the course unit to set special deadlines for the assessment component distributed.
In the special evaluation period, the assessment will consist of a written exam.
Classification improvement
The improvement of final grade will be obtained by exam on the regulatory periods. Improving classification focuses on the final exam and final report and does not apply to participation in class.
