Learning outcomes and competences

At the end of the semester, students must have had a critical and documented contact with a geographically and thematically representative cast of diverse cultural aspects and issues that mark Francophone peoples and spaces, and which have repercussions on, or influence global culture.Likewise, they will have to have read and analyzed some fictional texts that address these issues.

The course program will cover the following topics, which guarantee a general presentation of the framework and the problematization of issues related to Francophonies in their spatial-temporal, geographical and cultural variety, as well as in the global context. The following thematic points will be addressed:  1. Geographical and institutional Francophony; 2. Francophony in globalization; 3. Topics on Francophone cultures; 4. Francophonies and narrative fiction.
