Objectives
The Web Laboratory course unit aims to deepen and develop the knowledge and practical expertise acquired in previous years regarding the web technologies HTML, CSS and JavaScript.Learning outcomes and competences
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- Define the structure of web pages using valid and semantic HTML.
- Write CSS to define the presentation and layout of web pages.
- Use JavaScript to manipulate web pages and respond to the users’ interaction with them.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical-practical classes are split in two:
- Exposition and exemplification of theoretical concepts.
- Practical component, comprising:
- Laboratory assessment: Resolution of the proposed exercises.
- Individual practical assessment: Development of a web site in which it is expected the integrated usage of the learned technologies.
The tutorial-orientation classes are for complementary support to the practical component.
The practical assessment will be presented by the students on the last class of the semester.

Attending 75% of classes, unless established otherwise by law. Minimum final grade of 9.5.
Calculation formula of final grade
Laboratory assessment (40%) + Practical assessment (60%).
