Objectives
Introduction to Angolan literature through panoramic study of representative texts and authors.
Learning outcomes and competences
It is expected that at the end of the course, students are able to know and discuss the Angolan literary system, relating it with other systems and movements, African and European. At the same time, it is expected that students have notions of literary history and poetic and are able to produce a critical discourse based on the points of the program.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical explanation of the syllabus, commentary and analysis of text. Pupil participation is encouraged. Classes are theoretical, theoretical-practical and practical, also having sessions tutorials.
The evaluation has three components with different weights: A) Writing evaluation (two tests) - 50%, B) Two small works (an essay on matters worked in class and an audio-visual record of the reading of a text of Angolan literature selected by the student) - 30% C) Work in class - 20%.

Attending 75% of classes, unless established otherwise by law.
Calculation formula of final grade
• Written exam — 50% (a score of 10 out of 20) • Research assignment — 30% (a score of 6 out of 20) Theme: Any topic related to the Brazilian culture (literature, music, cinema, plastic arts, society, geography, history, …) Objective: Assess basic research, reflection and synthesis skills Length: between 5 and 10 pages • Classroom work — 20% (a score of 4 out of 20)
